Death Valley & the Alabama Hills Sunday, March 2, 2014- Friday, March 7, 2014
Returning (for the 14th time) to my two favorite landscape photography locations, the rugged, forbidding landscape of Death Valley and the surreal Alabama Hills. We’ll split the week exploring and photographing the familiar sights of Death Valley, the salt pan of Badwater, Dante’s View and Zabriskie Point, Golden Canyon and the Dunes, and off the beaten track in the side canyons and ghost towns. This year we will spend a day in 4-wheel drive Jeeps exploring the mysterious Racetrack before venturing to the magnificent Alabama Hills, hopefully with snow, and Mt. Whitney portal.
Days will be long, starting before sunrise, mid day we’ll take time for tech talk and daily critique before heading back out and continuing after dusk, with some optional night shooting in both locations.
Beautiful landscapes. I love the waterfall picture, with the tangle of branches at the top with the long exposure waterfall behind. Great composition!
