Recently got turned on to Citrasolv as a method to create textures by Jennifer Hudson, and now am hooked. The short version is when Citrasolve is sprayed on soy based inks on a clay based paper, the inks lift from the paper and can manipulated. Gorgeous results can be obtained, worthy of framing by themselves, or can be scanned as textures.
Jennifer uses multiple layers of low opacity to obtain her effects, here I’m much more graphic, creating Klimt like images. I wanted a more intense image because I’ll now use these with encaustics, wax infused with the paper and oil paints.
